Founding Chairman, the late Mr. Lee Kim Tah, took the family business from materials supplier to the British army in the 1920s to foremost contractor and developer of many of Singapore's iconic buildings.
In tandem with the development of Singapore's vast public housing and the need to build homes quickly, Lee Kim Tah rose to the call for innovative building solutions and introduced pre-fabrication techniques. We are proud pioneers of Singapore's successful and world-renowned public housing history. 1984 marked an important milestone when the family-owned venture became a public company - the first few construction companies to be listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. The ensuing decades witnessed the Group's business expansion and diversification. Not only was there a strong foothold in construction, but our portfolio grew into developments, investments, into shopping mall management, and hotel developments internationally.
